About Me
I started writing as a means of self-expression in my early 20s, and the late author Frans Sammut encouraged me to print my first poetry book. I would like to thank Bank of Valletta (BOV) for providing me with two Cultural Sponsorships.
I feel grateful to have printed 500 copies of 'Gateway to Infinity' including a Foreword by Frans Sammut himself. I have since printed two more poetry books - 'Heaven & Earth' and 'Leela's Game', and a short story - 'Sofia’s Flying Sofa', illustrated by Lisa Falzon. I have also contributed poetry to two books by the artist Francis Xavier Aloisio - “The Maltese Temples in Paintings & Poetry” and “Islands of Dream”, and created some short 'haiku' poems for “Glass Attitudes” an Exhibition of Fused Glass Works by Walter Vella, held at the National Museum of Fine Arts. You can contact me if you would like to order any of my books. All content on this website is Copyright (c) /All Rights Reserved of Erika Brincat. |
What one may conclude with a degree of certainty is that Erika Brincat has, in her tormented search to reveal her intent, energetically explored the myths which have crowded the collective psyche since time immemorial - an exercise that cannot fail to shed light on the universal experience of living."
~ Frans Sammut, Author of ‘Il-Gaġġa’, 2001
