POETRY

Writing poetry can be healing and transformative because poems reflect the voice of the soul.

CREATION

Creation

Nothingness

A Void of Silence

Oneness

In perfect Harmony,

Spiralling through Infinity

Only to focus naturally

To form a flowing energy

Whose high vibration

Creates all levels

All dimensions of reality

Of every frequency

Through Power of the Sound

OM

Resonating between matter

Off, on, off, on, off, on

So Light may become Water

A Sea of Living Love,

Birthing a planet

A cosmic entity

Our Mother Earth

Who breathes a female energy

To sacrifice her womb
for all humanity

Creating blueprints

For a Truer World

Where humans truly human

Remember Her to be

A living Star-seed

Belonging to a Cosmic Family

On her way home

To the Beauty of Eternity

I LIVE ON AN ISLAND

The sea’s saltiness is sweet

To the tongue of those who

understand Eternity

Who feel the beating of her tide

Lapping on their daily shore

Copying the curve of waves

And craving to be reborn

Into shapeless form of

sculptured rock

With azure sky and air

A living backdrop

On my palette – a bluish blur

Like islands stranded

lacking land

I live on an island

And love the sea

While my island loves no-one

but herself

For we have drowned her

in selfishness

And turned pure love

into bitterness

Entrapping us in our own

submission

Which I can no longer bear

As boredom and materialism

Turn on their wheel of fear

Fear of never leaving
this tender prison

Where mermaids lull their loved ones fast asleep

While life repeats itself relentlessly towards regression

Where safety
is my greatest danger

And I may only sleep estranged

For all I dream of
are ways to leave

And though I’m happiest
near the ocean

My sadness leads me
to another land

Where I no longer think and walk
and in circles

As I become a stranger to despair

So I may once again awaken

To taste sweet saltiness
in the air

DREAM CHAMBERS
(Inspired by the Hypogeum,
a UNESCO World Heritage Site)

Take a walk inside
the Womb of the Goddess

But tread with grace
and gentle respect

As you step into her cervix
which leads you along the path

Looking for the Child
in the Sacred Spiral of Life.

Chanting in the Chambers

Praying to the Holy of Holies

As the Echoes
of Higher Vibrations
Spiral into the Skies

And fall into the depths
of her worshippers’ rocks,

Carrying and storing
the Sound of Silence
in waves of stone.

Red ochre blood
Splashed across
Her Spiralling Design

Sealing the Dreamers
in their Dream Chambers

Protecting the Living
and the Dead

Bringing in Her Power
that exists
Throughout All-Time!

And as they stood humbly
before The Oracle and asked:

“Who are we?”

The Oracle’s answer
Echoed through the Chambers:

“Dear Children,

Do not forget

You are the Bridge

between Heaven and Earth,

Head in the Sky

And feet in the Dirt.”

The Oracle will tell you stories
Of the future, the present,
And the past.

Can you hear them
Echo in your Mind?

River of Souls | Erika Brincat, Journalist, Writer, Poet
THE RIVER OF SOULS

The River of Souls

Flows from High to Low

We drown in its stream

Like the Seen in the Unseen

The Truth is near

The Water is clear

Yet our bodies dirty it
with our Fear

The water is transparent

The temperature is kind

And yet we fill it

With the mud of our Mind

In the River of Souls

We Merge and Unite

Like Spheres of Light

Which Melt and Ignite

Just as the Delta
branches out from the Nile
Yet the River remains One

Why can’t we just Be
Like the River is to the Sea?
