Journey of the Aborigine | Erika Brincat, Journalist, Writer, Poet
JOURNEY OF THE ABORIGINE

Ayers Rock
Red raw power
Aboriginal Kingdom
Beyond Earth & Hour

Dot to dot
Of conscious travelling
Energy journeying
Into realms unknown
Inner being seeds are sown

See the beast
Run through
Desert heat
Lightning strikes

White brother
Conquers animal
Like light dissolves at night

Dark brother
Sinks in sand
Paintbrush markings
In his hand

Draws Rain Spirit
From the dust
Banishing white man’s
Greed and Lust

Rain Spirit
Showers the land
Black man brother
Gains strength of
Heart & Hand

Face is dusty
Heart is pure
Foot is worn
But his spirit’s
Never torn

Aborigine Always Free
In the Dreamtime
Some can See

Reflections on the River | Erika Brincat - Journalist, Writer, Poet
 REFLECTIONS ON THE RIVER

Reflections on the River
Sometimes near and
Sometimes far
Reflections on the River
That is all we really are

Reflections on the River
Flowing through our life
Reflections on the River
Passing joys and strife

Reflections on the River
As Below so up Above
Reflections on the River
Mirroring the Eternal's Love

Reflections on the River
Seekers seeking Divine Grace
Reflections on the River
Shining light upon our Face

Reflections on the River
India lets your spirit sing
Dreaming of what life may bring
Mother Earth’s Awakening
Growing deep within our Being

Reflections on the River
Passing through a foreign Land
Reflections on the River
Eternity’s moment in your Hand

Reflections on the River
Running through your thirsty Soul
Reflections on the River
To know your Self‘s the only Goal

Reflections on the River
God within and God without
God in Silence and the Sound

Reflections on the River
Step by step along the Tao
Reflections on the River
That is all we really are ...

Ghost | Erika Brincat, Journalist, Writer, Poet

GHOST

My spirit,
A fallen ghost
Haunting the corners
Of its cold host

The heart shattered
Small splinters scattered
By the winds of winter gathered

My soul wandering
Towards your breath
Secretly yearning for
Magic, Life and Death

The mind praying to heal
What now seems lost
Masks are melting,
Sliding away
From all outer form

All that is left is
My Lost Soul
Searching for its Home

100 days of sorrow
Yet there s still
Hope for tomorrow

For in another corner
of the world
Happiness must be waiting
to be born

So I can come back
Free from grief
From a Tunnel o f Light
Full of relief

Re-birthed,
New and alive
A powerful Fire
Burning Inside

Facing the pain
Your demons are slain
The snake bites its tail
And you are reborn
Again and again....

Some Soul | Erika Brincat - Journalist, Writer, Poet
SOME SOUL

You just gotta know
No matter what you do
You just gotta have some soul

No matter where’s your home
You just gotta have some soul

Chase your Demons away
Choose your Happiness today

Chase your Demons away
The Dragons you must Slay

And the Joys of tomorrow
Can be yours Today

Birthing the Light
You destroy your Dark Night

Chase your Demons away
Choose your Happiness today
